After re-signing Andrew MacDonald Tuesday morning to a multi-year extension (see story), the Flyers continued their busy day by inking another, signing 2012 draft pick Shayne Gostisbehere to an entry-level contract.

The prospect, fresh off a national championship victory with Union College at the Wells Fargo Center last weekend (see story), will report to the Adirondack Phantoms for the rest of the season.

Gostisbehere, 20, was named the Frozen Four’s Most Outstanding Player and tallied a goal and two assists in Union's 7-4 win over Minnesota for the national title.

The 5-foot-11, 170-pound defenseman scored 22 goals and racked up 60 assists for 82 points in three seasons at Union College.
