Eagles training camp is well underway, so it's time to bring back CSNPhilly.com's Reuben Frank and Dave Spadaro of the Eagles' official website to get their predictions for the upcoming season. Wednesday, the two played a game of Quick 6 on Philly Sports Talk to give their predictions about the upcoming season.
First up: Which defensive player has the most to prove on a defense that finished worst in the league in passing yards allowed and 29th in total yards last season?
"[Safety] Earl Wolff is a young player to me who last year was making progress, got hurt and then was able to return to the lineup," Spadaro said Wednesday on Philly Sports Talk. "It’s time for him to make the move."
On offense, Frank believes Jeremy Maclin needs to prove himself and step into the role of "Nick Foles' main down-the-field target" -- a hole left empty by DeSean Jackson's departure.
"He’s never been a No. 1 wide receiver. He’s a first-round pick -- he’s been very good but he’s never been 'the guy' in this offense," Frank said. "Coming off the injury, his second one, he’s never been in that role. It’s a big year for him."
