As the Eagles resumed OTAs Monday, reporters sought out lineman Lane Johnson for an explanation of a tweet sent over the weekend. It was a picture of a receipt for a dinner at Del Frisco's Steakhouse.
The bill was for almost $18,000.
"I probably should have gave it some clarity," Johnson said of the tweet. "Once I said it was a rookie dinner, [people] think I was pressured into doing it.
"It was kind of my idea, keep the tradition going."
Johnson didn't pay the whole bill by himself.
"I got help from Todd [Herremans] and Evan [Mathis]," he said. "It's something I did for them. It ain't no big deal to me."
Here's the initial tweet:

In light of the ordeal endured by the Dolphins last year involving Jonathan Martin and Richie Incognito, Johnson then clarified he wasn't pressured into holding the dinner.
For those of you so concerned with MY business, I am grateful to be able to treat my O-line to such a great evening VOLUNTARILY!— Lane Johnson (@Lanejohnson65) June 8, 2014
