Eagles sign Beau Allen to four-year deal

The Eagles on Thursday signed seventh-round pick Beau Allen to a four-year deal.

Allen, a nose tackle out of Wisconsin, is the second of the Eagles' seven draft picks to sign.

Third-round pick Josh Huff, a wide receiver out of Oregon, signed on Tuesday.

Allen will compete for a roster spot as a backup nose tackle behind starter Bennie Logan.

He spent his first three years with the Badgers playing defensive tackle in a 4-3 scheme but blossomed this past season in the odd front that Billy Davis runs with the Eagles.

Allen had eight sacks over the last three years and 15 tackles for loss.
