Reid bringing other ex-Eagles staffers to KC
Share This Post

Andy Reid has announced the rest of the Kansas City Chiefs' coaching staff.

In addition to Doug Pederson and Matt Nagy (see story), Reid is also bringing with him several other former Eagles staffers. That list includes Tommy Brasher (defensive line), David Culley (assistant head coachwide receivers), Tom Melvin (tight ends) and Barry Rubin (head strength and conditioning).

Bob Sutton, who spent the last 13 years on the New York Jets' staff, most recently as their linebackers coach, will be Reid's defensive coordinator.

Eric Bieniemy, who played for the Eagles in 1999, will coach the running backs, while Travis Crittenden will serve as assistant strength and conditioning coach. Mike Frazier is the statistical analysis coordinator, and Corey Matthaei and Reid's son, Britt, were hired as quality control coaches.

Im pleased we were able to get all of these coaches on board, Reid said in a statement released by the Chiefs. I have relationships with each of them, and I know their past experiences, work ethics and coaching styles. These are high-character coaches, and each one brings something different to the table for us."
