DeSean on Vick: 'I think he'll get the job'

Much has been said this offseason about Chip Kelly’s decision to not name a starting quarterback heading into training camp.

DeSean Jackson, who has already voiced his opinion on the matter, now has taken it a step further. He was asked on ESPN's First Take who will end up winning the job.

“Michael Vick has a lot of confidence in himself,” Jackson said. “He’s going on 12 years in the NFL. I think he’ll get the job, honestly."

Despite his belief in Vick, Jackson was quick to credit Nick Foles as well.

“Nick Foles is a great, great talent,” Jackson said. “He has the height. He has the skills as well, too.”

Jackson isn't the only player monitoring the quarterback competition. Several players have admitted to keeping an eye on Vick and Foles, who split first-team reps throughout minicamps and organized team activies, although Jackson is the first Eagle to offer his opinion on who will win the job.

Kelly has made it clear he wants to see how things play out in training camp before making a decision.

“I think Chip Kelly is gonna keep everybody honest,” Jackson said.

In addition to sharing his views on the Eagles' QB situation, Jackson has been busy with his new hip-hop single and video: DeSean Jackson – Diamonds on my Neck ft. Snoop Dogg & Yung Chris, which can be viewed here.
