The trade chatter is starting to pick up around the Sixers.

According to ESPN's Chris Broussard (via ProBasketballTalk), the Sixers are one of several teams the Cleveland Cavaliers have contacted about potentially trading for guard Dion Waiters. Evan Turner would be the Cavs' target in the deal. The report states no deal is imminent.

The other players the Cavs have their eyes on in a potential swap are New York Knicks guard Iman Shumpert and Chicago Bulls Luol Deng.

Waiters, a Philadelphia native, is averaging 13 points, three rebounds and 2.3 assists in 27.7 minutes per game. Waiters is shooting 38.9 percent from the field and three-point range.

Evan Turner is enjoying his best season as a pro under head coach Brett Brown. Turner is averaging 21.7 points, 6.9 rebounds and 3.6 assists per game on 45.6 percent shooting.
