Carter-Williams out for Sixers; Harden also sits
Share This Post

Both the Sixers and Rockets were without top players in Wednesday night's matchup because of foot injuries.

Rookie point guard Michael Carter-Williams was out with an arch bruise to his left foot and is day to day. Rockets guard James Harden was out with what was announced as a sore foot. Tony Wroten started for Carter-Williams, and Jeremy Lin replaced Harden.

Both Carter-Williams and Harden missed a game for the first time this season. Carter-Williams is averaging 17.4 points, 7.6 assists and 5.4 rebounds. Harden is averaging 24.9 points and 5.1 assists.

Harden became the third star opponent to be a late scratch against the Sixers. Fans at the Wells Fargo Center already have missed the opportunity to watch Dwyane Wade and Tim Duncan. The Heat rested Wade in the Sixers' season opener, and the Spurs on Monday rested Duncan.
