Tonight's lineup: Young returns after night off
Share This Post

The Phillies on Tuesday will look to win their third straight game and third straight under Ryne Sandberg.

Sandberg, who took over control of the team last Friday, is 2-2 as the interim manager. His team on Monday showed a spark that it has lacked since the All-Star break, and the future Hall of Fame second baseman will keep the top of the order the same as Monday. Jimmy Rollins leads off, Carlos Ruiz, who was 2-for-4 with an RBI Monday, bats second and Chase Utley bats third.

Domonic Brown stays in the cleanup spot, while Michael Young returns to the lineup and will bat fifth. Young will play first base.

With Young back in the lineup, Darin Ruf, Cody Asche and John Mayberry all move down a spot.

The Phillies' will face lefty Jorge De La Rosa (12-6, 3.22), whom the players at the top of the lineup have had success against in their careers. Combined, Rollins, Ruiz and Utley are hitting .444 with eight RBIs and two homers against De La Rosa.

Tyler Cloyd (2-2, 3.41) will start for the Phils. He was recently called up from Triple A Lehigh Valley to take John Lannan's spot in the rotation.
