Ready for some more Grady Sizemore?
Sizemore will lead off for a second consecutive game when the Phillies continue their three-game series with the NL East-leading Washington Nationals Saturday night.
The veteran outfielder went 1 for 4 with a run scored in his Phillies debut Friday. Sizemore singled ahead of Jimmy Rollins' two-run home run in the third inning of the Phils' 6-2 victory in the series opener (see story).
Domonic Brown was slated to bat seventh and play left field, but was scratched with an illness shortly after the initial lineup was posted. Instead, Sizemore, who played center field Friday, will slide over to left and Ben Revere will handle duties in center.
With Brown out, Cameron Rupp moves up to seventh in the batting order, Revere hits eighth and Sizemore stays in the leadoff spot.
Cole Hamels will face Washington for the first time this season when he takes the hill. From 2011-13, the lefty has gone 6-3 with a 2.34 ERA in 10 starts against the Nats.
Hamels will be opposed by Stephen Strasburg, who is 7-4 with a 3.47 ERA and 140 strikeouts this season. In eight career starts against the Phils, the right-hander is 3-1 with a 2.32 ERA.
