The Phillies have re-signed Ronny Cedeno to a minor-league deal.
Cedeno was originally brought into camp as a non-roster invitee back in January.
In 22 at-bats over 13 games this spring, Cedeno mustered just four hits for a .182 batting average.
The 31-year-old infielder was fighting for one of the team's final bench spots after Feddy Galvis was diagnosed with MRSA. That spot ultimately went to Cesar Hernandez.
Cedeno was released on Tuesday, when his decision deadline came due. He's now headed to Triple A Lehigh Valley.
The Phillies open their season Monday afternoon in Texas against the Rangers. First pitch is scheduled for 2:05 p.m.
